Dear friends ~
Summer is upon us and the continued delights of our city unfold whether fog or sun marks the day.
This is the season to enjoy free concerts in San Francisco’s gorgeous parks, ice cream excursions to heavenly outposts like Bi-Rite Creamery, Mitchell’s or Ici, and to walk the beach or coastal cliffs on my favorite city hike from Sutro Heights Park to Land’s End.
This month, in Featured Neighborhood, I highlight the Lower Haight. I also share with you two of my very favorite San Francisco spots in New & Interesting & Imbiber. The first highlights Bar Bambino, one of San Francisco’s best openings in recent years - it’s the perfect Italian, open-all-day café/wine bar/restaurant. Imbiber showcases the incomparable Alembic in the Haight, a haven of Southern drinks and food rarely found on the West Coast. In Wandering Traveler, I share about some of the best sandwiches available in all of Los Angeles.
I’d love your feedback on any spots you visited from my site or others you’d recommend. You can leave comments through the site on the Perfect Spot blog or email me directly.
Let me guide you to the perfect spot!
~ Virginia
